"Children are a Heritage of the Lord"
Thinking about some of the decisions couples have to make when they are married is how many kids they want to have. When I watched a documentary about the declining fertility and birth rates and people were interviewed about this subject a lot of people said that they think that one or two children is the perfect amount. While some people said that they came from big families and enjoyed always having someone to be around. There is no rule that defines a golden number of children you should have in order to be part of a perfect family. The number of children you have is up to you and your spouse. We should remember what the Lord told Adam and Eve when they first arrived to the Garden of Eden, "be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth" and modern day leaders have said that this specific commandment should still be followed if it physically possible (Genesis 1:28).
Children are so important to the Lord and to his plan. When we have children, we begin to feel the love that Heavenly Father has for us and it is a faith building experience. Also one of the duties of being in a marriage, is being able to provide spirits with bodies so that they can learn and grow here on Earth.

"Children rank way below college. Below world travel for sure. Below the ability to go out at night at your leisure. Below honing your body at the gym. Below any job you may have or hope to get. In fact, children rate below your desire to sit around and pick your toes, if that is what you want to do. Below everything. Children are the last thing you should ever spend your time doing. Motherhood is not a hobby; it is a calling. You do not collect children because you find them cuter than stamps. It is not something to do if you can squeeze the time in. It is what God gave you time for." -Rachel Jankovic
